Duke Barbatos
Duke Barbatosis a fallen angel who stands at the head of 30 legions of demons and also holds the rank of Earl. To help him control his 30 legions he has an entourage of 4 kings. His name is said to come from the Latin “barbatus” which means bearded old man or philosopher.
It is said that he is able to: communicate with animals, accurately predict the future, conciliate friends and authority figures and is also rumoured to be able to divulge the location of “hidden treasures” that are concealed by way of magicians enchantment.
There is a little conflicting information in the major texts as to his position in the Goetia as he’s listed in the Lesser Key of Solomon as the 8th Goettic demon where as he’s listed in the Pseudomonarchia Daemonum as the 6th Goettic Demon.
The grand grimoire mentions him briefly as a demon in service to Satanachia.
Appearance: Barbados is a fallen angel with a humanoid almost elf like appearance.
Visualisation/Sensory triggers: A black leafless tree in a blue moonlight.
The sound of laboured wheezy breathing.
The smell of freshly dug earth.
A white sky changing to red.
So lets have a look at what you would need to work with Barbatos for.
Barbatos can use his powers of divination to help you find out weather a new relationship weather romantic or plutonic is truly worth your time and emotional investment.
Be warned however that knowledge and emotions may come quite quickly so if you do this work with him then be carful not to get swept off your feet.
