Here is a practice that is in my new book, Embodying Lilith, out later this year.

Soul Eclipse

Warning –I would not recommend this ritual unless you are dedicated to Lilith.

The ritual of Soul Eclipse is performed to remove the shadow (the part of you that is not really you) from your soul and replace it with the image of Lilith. After this ritual is complete you are bound to her as her child and devotee.  Again, do not do this practice if you have any doubts on your connection with the Dark Mother.

The Ritual

For this practice you will need two candles - one should be bright (preferably white) and the other should be dark (preferably black.  You will also need a cloak or covering (this can be a prayer shawl/Tallit, a scarf, or even a light blanket) and a black mirror (a crystal or regular mirror can be substituted). 

Have incense burning before you begin (sandalwood, rose, or Night Queen is best).  Also, if available put on some night sounds on repeat (thunderstorms, sounds of nighttime, or if you want a very shocking experience play Plague Mass by Diamanda Galas).  If you have an altar, put the candles on the altar with the light one on the right and the dark one on the left.  Light the candles and put the black mirror in front of you.

Perform the Kabbalistic Cross in front of the Altar

• Atoh (above head)
• Io adonai (at throat)
• Malkut (at feet)
• Ve-Gevurah (right shoulder)
• Ve-Gedulah (left shoulder)
• La-Olam (hands at center)
• Amen (hands folded)

Wrap the cloak or covering around you, covering your head, but leave your face uncovered so you can see the black mirror.  Get into a comfortable position.

• Gaze into the black mirror
•  Intone – Lilith, Lilith, Lilith
• Say the following –
  • Queen of Night; Mother of Darkness; Goddess of those Abandoned
  • I come before you as your child, waiting upon your presence
  • I seek to be your vessel in this world
  • Cleanse me of my shadow and fill me with your presence
  • I am Lillin; I am yours and you are mine; we are one

• Chant – Lilith, Lilith, Lilith….

• When you feel connected to her spirit, see Lilith gazing back at you
• Imagine her hand coming out of the black mirror and touching you. Long pale hands with black talon like nails.
• As soon as she touches you, feel yourself inside the mirror with her for just an instant.
• And then you are back in your body.

• Something of you was left inside the mirror. This is your shadow – the part of you that is not truly you.  The part of you that your ego has created in separation. 

• However, something was replaced. You will a dark presence within.  It is not evil, in fact quite the opposite, but it is a spark of Lilith’s soul which has taken residence within you.  You feel it expanding to fill every part of your body, joining to your soul.

• You are now truly Lilith’s child, marked by her. You have strength of mind that you never knew you could have, and your path is clear as you follow the Dark Mother.

• Say the following –

• Thank you, my Mother for cleansing me.
• Thank you, my Queen for making me yours.
• As it is spoken, so it is done
• Amen

The ritual is complete.  You can stop the sounds of night, blow out the candles, and put away the items that you used for the ritual.

You will have incredible dreams over the next few weeks and your life will be changed forever.  Situations do not change, but you will have the ability to conquer anything that comes your way.
