Botis
President/ Earl Botis in numbered the 17th Spirit in the Lesser Key of Solomon although in the Pseudomonarchia Daemonium he is listed as the 19th Spirit.
He carries the rank of a Great President of Hell as well as an Earl and he stands at the head of 60 legions of lesser demons and spirits.
Botis who is also sometimes referred to as Otis or Otius is said to use swords to cause disfigurement as well as being able to give knowledge of all things that are passed and all things that are yet to be and he it is also said he has a talent for helping people reconcile their problems and make peace with one another.
Appearance: That of an “ugly viper” who at the request of the conjuror can appear as a humanoid shape with horns, large teeth and who carries a shiny and sharp sword.
Visualisation/Sensory Triggers: A Eagle soaring high in a stormy turbulent sky,
The sound of a blacksmith’s hammer pounding metal,
The vile aroma of a stagnant pond,
Bright white lightening streaking across a stormy evening sky.
Now lets take a look at what you may need to work with President Botis for:
Botis can be quite handy for baneful work as he is able to use swords to disfigure your enemy. Now logically this will manifest as a serious physical attack, disease or accident in the mundane world but that manifestation would be a direct result of being stuck by his sword. This may be good to use against people who are very vain and appearance orientated but pretty much anyone who’s successfully hit by this will have a permanent reminder of the results of incurring his bane every time they look in the mirror or see the afflicted limb.
The next thing President Botis can be worked with for is to help read the thoughts of someone you know quite well.
This work requires post ritual meditation though to allow Botis to help you to form a psychic link with your target and begin to start receiving their thoughts.
BE WARNED a persons private head space can be a very dark and disturbing place for an outsider so you may end up accessing information you wish you hadn’t. USE WITH CAUTION.
The final work this great Earl has given me in gnosis is his ability to cultivate courage in people. This can be very handy for a number of life’s difficult situations as we have all no doubt encountered a time when we have felt anxious or fearful about something.
