Mabon, the autumnal equinox, is sometimes considered the "forgotten sabbat" because it falls between two more prominent Sabbats: Lammas and Samhain. Here's why Mabon might get overshadowed:

- *Lack of clear traditions*: Unlike other Sabbats, Mabon doesn't have a strong historical or cultural background, making it harder for some pagans to connect with.
- *Sandwiched between other Sabbats*: Mabon falls roughly between Lammas (July 31 - Aug 1) and Samhain (Oct 31), which might make it feel less distinct or important.
- *Less commercialization*: Compared to other Sabbats like Halloween (Samhain) or Yule (Winter Solstice), Mabon receives less commercial attention, which can contribute to its relative obscurity.
- *Variable date*: As an equinox, Mabon's date varies slightly each year, which might make it harder for some people to plan celebrations.

Despite this, Mabon is a significant Sabbat, marking the second harvest and the balance of light and darkness. Many pagans celebrate Mabon by:

- *Reflecting on balance*: Acknowledging the balance of light and darkness in life.
- *Gratitude and abundance*: Expressing gratitude for the harvest and abundance in life.
- *Letting go*: Preparing for the coming darkness and letting go of things that no longer serve.

If you're interested in learning more about Mabon or celebrating it, I'd be happy to help!
