I started with Scott Cunningham and Amber K books in 1990. It was the public eclectic Wicca that was pretty much all you could find at the time. I stuck with that about 5-6 years and then started leaning towards various folk practices. I have considered myself an eclectic pagan spiritualist for at least 15-20 years now. No one tradition and nothing formal. Just me.
