I think it depends where you live. Some places are more accepting than others. Some are not so much. I do think this administration is going to change things with so many of the Christian Nationalists invading congress and pressing so many bills through, sometimes in sneaky ways. Some states have followed suit and are trying to tweak those laws to shut out anything not their brand of Christianity. At the moment we still do have the constitutional rights to be and do as we are but that doesn't mean we won't be targets with a path through legal means but that's also very expensive. Check your area carefully in that "read the room" kind of way. If you do come out make sure you do have a group to run with just in case things get rough. I have never fully come out myself in these darn near 35 years now come July, but that door has been left ajar and I do peek out now and then. If things go the way I think they will and this admin burns spectacularly, what comes after will be so much better of a time to come out. Right now... again... more about where you live.
Yes and no I've Bern out for years but I can also say depending on where you live be very discreet about it
People actually laugh at me when I tell them. The ones who truly know me and know what I do take me seriously. Most every one in my area think it's a joke. I think it is much more acceptable this day and age to practice. The only ones I have a problem with with are the born again Christian's that try to covert me.
