Demons

🔮 Discussion Topic: "Demons and the Art of Summoning — Myth, Ritual, and Reality"

Overview:
Throughout history, demons have been depicted in countless religious, magical, and folkloric traditions — from the grimoires of medieval Europe to the djinn of Islamic lore, the asura of Vedic texts, and the infernal hierarchies of Renaissance magic. This discussion will explore different interpretations of demons and the various methods by which practitioners throughout history have claimed to summon or contact them.

Key Points to Discuss:

1. What is a demon?

Cultural and religious definitions: Christian, Islamic, Judaic, Pagan, and Eastern views

Are demons inherently evil, or is this a modern/religious bias?

2. Famous Demonologies and Grimoires:

The Ars Goetia (Lemegeton/Key of Solomon)

The Grand Grimoire

The Book of Abramelin

The Picatrix

Modern occult reinterpretations (e.g., The Infernal Dictionary, Luciferian pathworkings)

3. Methods of Summoning:

Traditional ceremonial magic (triangle of manifestation, circle of protection, scrying)

Spirit evocation using sigils, incense, and offerings

Pathworking, astral projection, or dream invocation

The role of names, seals, enns, and pacts

The dangers of untrained or disrespectful summoning

4. Moral, Spiritual, and Psychological Interpretations:

Are demons literal beings, archetypal forces, or psychological projections?

The concept of the "inner demon" and shadow work

Demonolatry vs. demon evocation: worship vs. command

5. Modern Practices and Personal Experiences:

Have you or someone you know attempted summoning? What were the results?

How do modern practitioners approach demon work compared to ancient magicians?

Suggested Readings and Tools:

“The Lesser Key of Solomon”

“Demonolatry” by S. Connolly

“The Book of Spirits” by Allan Kardec

Personal grimoires, talismans, sigils, and traditional magical implements

Final Questions for Reflection:

What ethical considerations must be taken when working with such entities?

Is summoning demons a spiritual path, an act of rebellion, or a search for hidden knowledge?13590845862?profile=RESIZE_584x

  • You know, I was thinking about the issue of summoning and I can't help but think how 'rude' it would be to force a being into your realm to do your bidding. I mean, think of this this way..you're a demon just chilling out and having an cold ice tea when some force yanks you from your home and into a circle where some peoson whom you never have met demands that you do what they want and insists on keeping you 'bound' even if you agre to do what they demand.

I guess I am saying that there has to be a better way to commune with beings of other dimensions without relegating them to the position of servitude; maybe formulate a method where both are on equal footing and if the summoner explains the situation as if they were in a office meeting, and explains why he/she needs assistance it would go better and if the being still declines then apologize for the intrusion and bid them well and let them go back with no hard feelings.

As for Stolas..I kinda like the form as depicted in the series 'Helluva Boss', for some reason that form really resonates with me :)

    (Yes..I am weird...)

  • Great information!

  • Ooohh..love that image of Stolas!

To me the term 'demon' simply refers to a species that can manifest on any plane of existence that is compatiple with and considering that they are on a different frequency I can only imagine that since they, like dragons, are not solely cofined to just a physical form that they can manipulate their surroundings to a small degree because their frequency might allow them to do so

Personally I do not see demons as being naturally or inherently 'evil' as evil is a deliberately chosen state and not a natural one. Like any other sentient and sapient being, demons can choose to be good or bad. I said in another post that I think there are generally two types of demons; one is the metaphorical type that humans create in order to have something to blame the cause of all their misfortunes on and the other are the ones that exist in a realm that is attached to ours however I do think there are realms that mirror the most prominent aspects of our world.

In other words because there is so much war and strife in our world that it either affects the most fragile of these worlds or there are realms that may inadvertently feed off our negative frequencies thus affecting the denizens of said realm much like how a child is affected by a homelife filled with fighting and anger.

For all we know, our collective negativity might unknowingly even compel beings in certain attached realms to base their societies on what bleeds through from our world. Sorry if that sounds weird but it is just a thought.

    • 💯 agree with their choice of being good or bad,

Also it's how you approach them. Alot of the older books use Christian ✝️ style of summoning and abusing the demon. I'm on the Luciferian path so I welcome them with offerings and incense
