The above poem ("we do not die") is read at funerals as part of the eulogy. I think the purpose of that is to comfort the mourners.
The following poem, "Funeral Blues", was used in the film "4 weddings and a funeral" but I remember it from my school English Literature class. I think it adequately expresses the raw grief felt by the close mourners of the deceased.
