I had an interesting experience years ago (2005 thereabouts) when I was reading a bit on Wicca and the craft.
Me and my father were walking in a small park in Missouri, we were on a gravel path when I seen a cicada flutting around on the ground (I nicknamed them flying peach pits :) ) so as we approached I noticed that, sitting on the ground next to it was a small pebble of pyrite and the cicada was just fluttering around it almost as if to alert me.
It was odd because it was rare to see a cicada on the ground and rarer still to see a small chunk of pyrite just sitting there, not buried or anything.
We only lived in Missouri for a couple of years but found some interesting resources there despite the area I was in to be predominantly christian.
I thanksed the cicada for alerting me and I still have the stone to this day.
