Hey everyone..I have a quick question...
I recently made some cocoa brownies and used half regular flour and half rice flour, since I don't have eggs I used a 1/4 cup yougurt for each egg.
Now after following the recipe and baking them they turned out nice but did not rise as much as they should have so should I have used more baking powder? The original recipe calls for 1/2 tsp but because I used rice flour for half of the regular flour maybe that hindered the rising?
Maybe 3/4 tsp baking powder? Other than that they turned out of though I might add more liquid; perhaps more yogurt or just a bit of water to make the batter a tiny bit thinner so it rises better.

I would say you are right 3/4 Tsp of baking powder may make a difference in the rising of the brownies.
Thanks, I do think that the next time I make brownies I will do that. I just don't want to over do the baking powder and have the brownies oozing out around the oven door

Wow...now I need to find some vanilla scented tea lights and try this. Thank you for the suggestion :)
As silly as this sounds take regular tea light candles and add a drop or 2 or even 3 of essential vanilla oil, if you want a nice strong scent.
No, that is not silly at all and I would love to try it but I don't have any Vanilla Essential Oil either and not sure if a drop of vanilla extract would do but I do like your idea :)
hmmm wewll I never have tried that but it may work you never know.
