While I am aware that the book 'Ars Goetia' is a work of fiction there are a few demons I find interesting and one is Stolas/Stoliz, etc.
From what I have read, he is not necessarily bad or evil (I don't accept that a being is naturally evil anyway) but it seems he is more interested in the pursuit of knowledge and I get the impression that if he were summoned (which I find to be a terrible idea) he is willing to impart his knowledge to those who are serious about learning and made an effort to learn something on their own and not waste his time on those who have just a superficial curiosity.
Where did the idea or concept of Stolas come from?
